Hideaway Cove Wilderness Lodge was developed in harmony with it's special location. We have purposefully kept the lodge quaint. We believe nature is best enjoyed in small groups, away from the
tourist crowds. As stewards of the environment, we have taken an "Earth-friendly" approach in developing the lodge. We are especially proud of our solar power system, which generates nearly 100% of our electricity. Our fresh water comes from a mountain spring and our waste-water system is engineered well beyond government standards. Our main lodge building is a low-impact yurt and the log cabins were built using beetle-killed timber. In our day to day operations, we encourage "leave-no-trace" activities. This way, generations to come will experience the same beauty as we have.
| "...we could not have been more pleased with an experience of a lifetime. Jordan was our guide and the passion for what he did and appreciation of the beauty came shining through. We shared a breathtaking day of adventure and natural beauty kayaking Grewingk Glacier Lake among the icebergs! His specific instruction and constant concerns for our safety were relayed with patience, and at every opportunity he shared his wisdom in points of interest on the lake and the trails.. We would highly recommend this incredible opportunity!" --Guest letter written to the Homer Chamber of Commerce |
